Astrophilia - n. Love of and/or obsession with planets, stars, and outer space.

Our first concert of the season is a musical depiction of the mystery and wonder of the night sky performed by some of Pitt State's finest wind and percussion players! This concert is for anyone who has looked up into the heavens and felt a sense of awe at the beautiful vastness of the universe. 

The program will include River of Stars by Barbara York and Aurora Awakes by John Mackey, in addition to a variety of classic literature and brand new works by composers Sally Lamb McCune, Norman Dello Joio, and Joel Puckett. We look forward to sharing this opening program of the PSU Music Department's 2024/2025 season with you on Sunday, September 29!
