Meagan Duffee-Yates, MDC's Turkey Habitat Initiative Coordinator, will tell us why Missouri and many other states are facing a severe turkey decline at the Sperry-Galligar Audubon meeting, 7:00 P.M., Thursday, January 30, 2025 in Room 102, Yates Hall, 1702 S. Joplin St., Pittsburg, KS. Using modern GPS research we are learning that there is a serious lack of suitable turkey nesting and brood-rearing habitat. This is a key factor in supporting the next generation of birds. Come learn about what turkeys need to survive their first 14 days post hatch and what can be done to create more habitat for these iconic birds.
