About this Event
1702 S. Joplin, Pittsburg, KS 66762
https://sperry-galligar.com/Programs.htmlHow can we bring together science, personal experiences, and teachable moments to better communicate the realities of climate change — especially in places where the very namesakes are at risk? This talk by Dr. Delia Lister, head of Pitt State's Nature Reach program and a member of the Pitt State Biology Department, dives into some of how climate change is reshaping Joshua Tree and Glacier Bay National Parks, what influences the way people understand environmental threats, and how personal stories can make scientific information more meaningful.
The Sperry-Galligar Audubon Chapter is named after two longtime Pitt State Biology professors and is guided by current Biology professors. It meets monthly during the academic year at Pitt State. All are welcome.
