The Center for Reading at Pittsburg State University will be offering its summer literacy program, Secret Codes Camp, this summer. The Secret Codes curriculum uses cutting edge science to teach beginning reading skills and prevent reading failure.  

One 50-minute session occurs each day Monday through Thursday during June and July. The camp is open to all children who want to get a jump start learning to read or who are struggling to learn to read. 

During camp: 

Beginning readers will be taught the foundations of reading so that they can become good readers. 

Students who are currently struggling will be taught to read with an effective intervention to help them become stronger readers.
