The Orientation Program is designed to assist new international students with their transition to Pittsburg State University and to the US. During orientation, students gain valuable insights about college life through small-group activities, attend informational sessions, meet with an academic advisor, and complete university enrollment procedures.
International students will be informed about many important areas of interest: academic and social matters, registration, enrollment, immigration issues, shopping, banking, housing, campus life, student clubs/activities, cultural adjustment, transportation, safety, health insurance, on-campus employment, and other matters particularly useful for international students.
In addition to breakfast and lunch being provided, students will enjoy dinners hosted by Pittsburg community groups, get settled into housing, enjoy campus tours, open a US bank account, activate their mobile phone, and have an opportunity to go shopping for supplies and household items.
