About this Event
1711 S. Homer, Pittsburg, KS 66762
Campus and community are invited to attend the annual Dance Symposium Performance and view research by students in the Dance Minor. Research will be on display by students in interactive booths in the lobby from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The performance will begin at 7 p.m. and will include jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theater, jazz, modern, ballet, and cultural dances. Dances have been choreographed by students, faculty, and guest choreographers. The event is free and open to the public.
This year's show is titled, "Connected through Dance" because dance connects our students to each other, and to themselves. Dance connects both our physical and emotional states. The dancers in the show have worked hard to produce unique, moving, inspiring, and fun dances for this show to connect with their audience.
