Pittsburg State University will host its first-ever AI symposium, "AI in Academia & the Workforce: Exploring the Impact and Implications," on Tuesday, April 22, from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Overman Student Center Ball Room B.
This free event is open to students, faculty, staff, and the Pittsburg community. Light refreshments available.
The symposium features panelists from a variety of disciplines discussing the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education, research, and professional fields. Attendees have the opportunity to engage in a thought-provoking Q&A session following the panel discussions.
“This event is designed to give experts and members of our campus and community the opportunity to come together to explore the impact of AI in both academia and the workforce,” said event planner Michelle Hudiburg. “Our goal is to spark important conversations. We hope it’s the first of an ongoing series!”

4:00 p.m. Poster Presentation, refreshments, and break.
4:20 p.m. AI in the Workforce panel - Magdalene Moy, Instructional Technologist and Chair of Generative AI Task Force at Fort Hays State University. Santiago Morel Berni, graduate student in the College of Technology.
